RULES OF THE WELSH SOUTH ROAD NATIONAL FLYING CLUB

CLUB STANDARD RULES

 

1. The Welsh South Road National Flying Club competes under all rules of the Royal Pigeon Racing Association and that anything arising from, but not provided for in those rules, or the domestic rules of the Welsh South Road National Flying Club, shall be decided by the committee, whose decision is final and binding, subject to appeal to the RPRA within 21 days.

2. That only fanciers who are resident in Wales and whose lofts are in Wales be considered for membership. Any member who should move his/her loft or residence to a place outside this area so defined, then his/her membership shall cease.

3. That the annual subscription fee be £15 per loft plus the RPRA fee/s per person, if not paid through another organization.

4. That only those members that pay the said fees to be sent the rules, race sheets etc. Closing date for Old Bird fees to be the 1st March and the closing date for Young Bird only fees to be 1st August.

5. Members wishing to resign must do so before the date of the Annual General Meeting otherwise they will be liable for the following year’s subscription.

6. That the AGM of the club shall be held shall be held before the end of March annually. All accounts of the preceding year to be finalized and presented for scrutiny by the membership. Accounts to include a complete record of all club activities for the preceding year including the current year’s Annual Presentation.

7. The committee of management shall consist of the chairman, vice-chairman, treasurer and five others who shall be elected annually from members of the club.

8. That no member of the club shall vote, speak or make propositions at any meeting of the club on any subject matter relative to which he or she has a financial interest.

9. In an emergency, the committee shall have power to resolve that emergency, five to form a quorum.

10. The committee shall suspend from the club any member who, in their opinion, has willfully violated the rules of the club, or who has been found guilty of dishonorable conduct in connection with the pigeons, pigeon races, or exhibitions, or the sport generally and may suspend any member whom they deem unsuitable to be a member of the club.

11. Members being suspended from the club shall forfeit all claims to prizes, pools, entry fees and property. Members withdrawing from the club shall forfeit all claims to its property.

12. That the committee shall decide the amount of prize money and birdage fees in all races on the club programme.

13. That any member wishing to make any alterations or additions to the domestic rules of the club must give notice in writing of the proposed alterations or additions in accordance with RPRA Rule 155 or they will not be considered. Propositions must state to which rule they refer, with deletions and the proposed new wording of the rule, otherwise they could be ruled out of order.

14. That all trophies belonging to the club to be returned to the General Secretary six (6) weeks before the annual dinner. Failure to do so, will make the member/s holding such trophies, liable to any costs incurred, in the collection of such trophies. Trophies to be returned in the same condition as received.

15. In the event of club birds being convoyed to race points by another body, the cost be negotiated with the convoying organization.

16. That in the event of there being more than one item, of a similar nature, on the ballet paper, the one receiving the greatest majority in favour shall be one acted upon.

17. That if a general meeting of all members needs to be called, it be published in the fancy press “Notice of meetings” column. This excludes AGMs.

18. The Headquarters of the Welsh South Road National Flying Club, shall be the Tondu Rugby Club, Aberkenfig.

19. No official of a Federation is allowed to stand as an official of the WSRNFC-club officials will be accepted.

20. Any elected official of the WSRNFC shall not become an elected official of the Welsh South Road Federation.

21. That all members be given a club membership number and that number must be entered in the space provided on all race sheets. The club membership number must also be quoted on all correspondence to the club. If a reply is required please enclose an S.A.E. Thank You.

22. That duplication is allowed from the WSRNFC to any other organization for all races on the WSRNFC program.

22A. The WSRNFC accepts duplication from other RPRA organizations when liberated simultaneously with WSRNFC. Members must obtain a duplicate time sheet of all their timed in pigeons, and return to the race secretary within “Seventy Two Hours” of close of race.

23. That section birdage be published with each result.

24. That when the General Secretary`s position becomes vacant, the position be advertised in both papers the RP and the BHW.

25. The WSRNFC must not delay or cancel any basketing/marking for any National Race unless the Met Office has issued a severe weather warning which will adversely affect the race.

26. That the race controller of the WSRNFC be kept informed and if possible be allowed to assist in the liberation of the WSRNFC birds when convoyed by another organization.
